rightWhat is USPAP?
USPAP is the abbreviation for; Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. USPAP is published and maintained by the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) of the Appraisal Foundation, a non-governmental entity charged by Congress with promulgating appraisal standards.

USPAP is revised periodically, the most recent edition took effect July 01, 2006.

Every appraiser is required by state law to be familiar with and follow the most recent edition of USPAP. Continuing Education on this specific topic is required periodically to relearn the basics and become familiar with new Advisory Opinions and recent changes to USPAP.  USPAP is considered the Bible of appraisal practice.
